Crossing over TV shows. How could encounters between characters from various TV shows go. If they fight, who would win? Which hero would fare how well (or badly) against which strange villain? Which villains would team up, which would be at each other's throat?
The same rules as in the other "versus" thread apply: the crossover has to work logically between the various shows/characters's universes.
I'll start: Buck Rogers in the 25th Century meets Star Trek the Next Generation. Thrown 100 years back through a wormhole, Buck and the crew of the Searcher encounter the starship Enterprise. While the respective crews work together to return the errant Buck to the 25th century, he shags Troi and Dr. Crusher.

Now that Clone Wars is on TV...
A friend and I have a long standing argument on who would win:
The Federation from Star Trek vs. The Empire from Star Wars.
Technologically, the Federation seems way ahead of the Empire, with the exception of Artificial INtelligence. Data being unique, droids being everwhere.
The Federation has ships that can crack the crust of a planet and can travel at speeds unimaginable without entering other-dimensional space, and has repeatedly been shown to be able to fight while at FTL speeds. Considerably better sensor arrays. I maintain the Feds would win. Hands down.
My friend describes it thusly. "We will choke you with our Dead." And then brings out that the Empire not only has thousands of ships, including fighters, but huge capital ships, and a mobile space station that can blow up a planet.
No psychic powers, no Force, no other dimension aliens of unimaginable power to help. Two fleets out to beat each other up.

I agree that the Federation is better off technologically. (Just having better communications and troop transportation is a big deal in a protracted war.)
However, numbers do matter. How many TIE-fighters would it take to take out an Enterprise-class ship? How many such ships are there? How many Star Destroyers?
I'd discount the Death Star because even if it's a new and improved version without the moronic DROP YOUR BOMB HERE flaw the Feds would find some way to get to the reactor and blow the damn thing up before too long.

In the spirt of the thread contextwise, we should limit The Clone Wars to only the Republic/Clone Army not the Empire as far as available characters. Empire versus Federation should go into the main Movie Versus Thread.

Dresden Files/Middleman.
Not for any logical reason, just because it would HAVE to be cool.

I was just thinking about what to cross Middleman with.

The beauty of the Middleman is, you can conceivably cross it with anything.

Batman (Kevin Conroy animated version) is travelling to New York City after suspicious rumors of winged monsters leads him to believe that Kirk Langrstrom has created new Man-Bats. This becomes especially suspicious when he meets Langstrom's current employer, an old school chum named David Xanatos. The first night looking for Langstrom's latest creatures, Batman is perched atop a familiar Gargoyle when suddenly, the stone cracks, like a layer of skin....and Batman will face Goliath...

There's actually one other show that can cross over with anything, just like the Middleman. So it makes sense to make those two cross over:
The Middleman
vs.
Doctor Who.
Go.

Someone mentioned (in the other Versus thread) the match-up of Borg vs. Daleks.
Now, my knowledge of Daleks is very limited, so I may be wrong, but: I see the Borg winning.
Both are hive-minds, but it seems the Dalek aren't as quick or willing to learn from their mistakes as the Borg are. The Borg have a personal force field that can adapt to any attack. That means the Dalek would get one shot in, take out one Borg (maybe two). The Borg would adapt their force field to counter the Dalek weapons and assimilate the Dalek. Once a group of Dalek is assimilated into the Borg hive mind, the Borg know all there is to know about the Dalek, and can even more assimilate the rest.

If you do Daleks Vs Borg, you need to include a scene where Dalek Sek comes up with a strategy that might actually BEAT the Borg, but he gets killed by the other Daleks because no one likes a brainiac who has the balls to question Dalek supremacy even though THEY CREATED SEK TO THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX IN ORDER TO BRING GREATER GLORY TO THE DALEKS!!!!!!!!!!
Also I would assume Jens, that you would have the Borg simply adapt the Dalek technology, since actually trying to assimilate the Dalek mind would be a recipe for disaster for the entire universe.
The Borg are basically emotionless vampires, while the Daleks are hate-fueled living sentient weapons. Introduce hate into the Borg equation and you'd probably get a Borg/Dalek hybrid that would be a Borg humanoid with a Dalek canon arm and silver/gold jumpsuits screaming "YOU BE DESTROYED!" at the top of their lungs as he kills you.
