How would Norman go about threatening Namor? Threaten to hold up a mirror?

Ever read any non-Marvel Steve Ditko? Same diff. Nope. I know Ditko's The Question is informed by Objectivism, but the closest I've gotten to reading it is Rorschach in Watchmen, which may not be an accurate gauge of the original. Not really, no,

I have yet to read an Ayn Rand book, so I'm a little fuzzy on Objectivism or whatever Mary Sue-ism she might engage in. Ever read any non-Marvel Steve Ditko? Same diff.

Hell with that. Are there any heroes on the roster who _enjoy_ being a hero?

Comic book historians, break it down for me -- what's the longest that a major, lead character of a book has remained "dead"? 22 years, not including time-travel cameos. Fella named Barry Allen.

Here're the latest spoilers making the rounds (highlight to read):
- Thor teleports Wasp (who is now a bio-weapon because of the serum) away and she dies
- As the heroes are about to go crazy on the Skrull Queen, Osborn takes the killshot (becoming the hero to the public's eyes)
- Thor tells Tony to funk off and Bucky Captain America seems to ignore him too
- All the substituted heroes are freed from a ship (even Mockingbird)
- Few pages of people talking but it seems to me that Tony Stark is still related to SHIELD (though Osborn blames it all on him)
- Ends with Osborn in the Avengers tower heading into a meeting room with his Cabal (the Hood, Emma Frost and a couple of others, possibly Namor)
The Requiem one-shot is apparently a new 8 page story about Wasp and about 40 pages of reprints, which I found really disappointing.
Dark Avengers' line-up includes Ares, Hawkeye, Black Suit Spider-Man (though he seems to be in New Avengers with his red'n'blues), Wolverine (in New Avengers too), Marvel Boy and Iron Patriot (red and gold Iron Man is in Mighty Avengers) ... which makes the New Avengers #50 cover a lot of fun, it is both teams facing each other with each side having a Spider-Man and a Wolverine, really curious about that ...

So, we've reached the point where you are actively praising a Bendis story.......... I always wondered what hell looked like. I've been in hell. It's called "Any airport at 2 AM"

Primarily, because I like the relationship he has with the Scarab, one that Ted neither had nor needs. Giving him a whole different power set just because irks me.
In any case, the Blue Lantern appears to be fairly useless in solo operation... if I'm reading the signs right, he primarily exists to buff other heroes.

Clearly you either didn't read or are deliberately misreading the second Booster Gold Arc, because, sorry Jesse, Ted's still dead. There is one bit in Booster Gold 1,000,000 that suggests otherwise: That being said, I'd rather see Jaime as The Scarab. Ted doesn't need Khaji Da, after all.

Things that made me squee.
The Iron Man movie. The Middleman TV series (so where's the season 1 DVD?) Girl Genius Gold Digger Blue Beetle, under Rogers Checkmate, under Rucka/Trautmann Iron Fist, under Brubaker/Fraction and last (but not least) All-Star Superman.

In all fairness, Gru can't be blamed for the Squadron Supreme. Their first appearance was written by Roy Thomas (in Avengers #85) and were based on an older team of analogues (the Squadron Sinister) also created by Roy Thomas. He did that a lot.
