Heh. Forgot to re-watch AYA MAIL 3 before Christmas Eve like I usually do. Aya Hisakawa in a mini-skirted Santa outfit! Might get the Laser Disc version from Record Banshou once I borrow/buy my great aunt's LD player (Pioneer model, I think).

Never played any pen & paper RPGs, though I did devour the Robotech sourcebook Palladium put out.

I know a lot of you guys don't like dickgirls, but here's a weird twist from live-action Japanese porn. Women with strap-ons, but we pretend they're packing actual male genitalia. Half the time the fake dicks are mosaiced out for "realism". Of course they're almost always wearing panties or pants to hide the harness, or at least holding a dildo with one hand.
Most of the time it's "futanari lesbian"; guy/fake dickgirl is out there too, but doesn't seem as popular.

125) Once Upon a Time in the North by Philip Pullman. A prequel to the His Dark Materials trilogy, starring Texan aeronaut Lee Scoresby. Includes a mini-boardgame; haven't opened the pouch yet. Should probably get The Tin Princess next (Sally Lockhart trilogy tie-in, though the edition that matches my set isn't in stock anymore).

I've got a third computer for games that someone gave me a while back and it will play a lot of games (as a matter of fact that's all that's on that box) but it was a home built unit and I've had issues with it, particularly when it's cold. I'd really like a new computer... Me too. I think I could put together a gaming PC myself, but then it'd be real headache if anything turned out to be defective. Getting the store to custom build a box would be the way to go, but finding one store with all the components I want is a bit harder, so back to DIY.

I have yet to read an Ayn Rand book, so I'm a little fuzzy on Objectivism or whatever Mary Sue-ism she might engage in. Ever read any non-Marvel Steve Ditko? Same diff. Nope. I know Ditko's The Question is informed by Objectivism, but the closest I've gotten to reading it is Rorschach in Watchmen, which may not be an accurate gauge of the original.

Just tuned in to the Animax-Asia English dub of Toward the Terra, then spotted Charmaine Cordoviz doing her bishounen voice. Seems like a Telesuccess job going by the other voices (like Dada Carlos) I recognize. First Philippine English-dubbed anime to be broadcast internationally since Akazukin Cha-Cha on Cartoon Nework Asia in 1998.
The Animax India forums indicates that Animax-Asia is now sourcing dubs from the Philippines, so I guess this is a side-effect of the call center boom: everyone's brushing up on spoken English.

Starcraft II is at least a year away... Then... then mind you, shall the basement apartment know the true meaning of a Zerg Tank rush..... Never really got into PC games that demand high-end hardware (though I did futz around with autoexec.bat and boot diskettes to play Heretic back in the day), so I've been off the upgrade treadmill. Might get a home theater PC when we get an HDTV, though. Right now the Asus Essentio and the Acer Aspire X3200 are my top picks. Close to overkill compared to my current desktop and laptop, yet considered low on horsepower for current gaming. Not doing any media production work, so I can live with an old Mirror Drive Doors Power Mac G4 for OS X. Love the design, it's cheap, and dual 1.25Ghz processors are plenty fast for what I'd use it for. Also I prefer a computer I can open up and upgrade easily. Finding a Mac-compatible USB 2.0 card could be challenge, though, so I'll need an older iPod that can use FireWire to be on the safe side.

118) Doomsday Book by Connie Willis.
119) Red Planet by Robert A. Heinlein.
120) Alan Moore: Portrait of an Extraordinary Gentleman. Think I have less than 50 pages left. I can understand why they asked Dave Sim for a contribution, but why they decided to actually publish his essay (which has almost nothing to do with Moore) is beyond me.
