Sometimes, a creator's run on a book is so defining, so good, that the publisher should cancel the book upon the creator's departure, rather than let it continue under a lesser creator (or team).
What would you see as such runs?
For me, it's the following:
- Walter Simonson on Thor - Frank Miller on Daredevil - Roger Stern on Doctor Strange - Kurt Busiek/George PĂ©rez on Avengers - Doeg Moench/Bill Sienkiewiz on Moon Knight - Paul Levitz on LSH
I'm tempted to add Roger Stern/John Byrne on Captain America, but there have been other exemplary runs since then (most currently Brubaker), so...

I'll agree to all of yours and add:
James Robinson on Starman. Moench and Perez/Byrne/Perez on Avengers. Byrne on FF. Sal Buscema on Hulk. Peter David on Hulk. Conway and Perez on JLA. Morrison and Porter on JLA.

I'll agree to all of yours and add: James Robinson on Starman. They did end that one when Robinson had told his story, that's why I didn't include it in my list.
