Ah, Big Hollywood. James Urbaniak had already linked to it in his own LiveJournal, and it has all the makings of Epic Fail.
And I think it's very nearly a law of reality that Kurt Busiek Is Correct.

I just love the commenters who say that it's all because the Avengers joined the UN and the new Blue Beetle was hispanic. Nevermind that the Jaime Reyes BB held onto a solo title longer than all of Ted's series combined.

Jaime's book only lasted a year longer than Ted's and even then, has followed Ted's lead of having been shuttled off to a team book to linger.
So while Jaime has done well critically, he hasn't done all that well commercially, and God knows that the current incarnation of Teen Titans, post-Geoff, is no freaking Giffen League. Jaime would be better off finding a time machine and joining the Legion of the Super-Heroes or even the fracking Outsiders if anything.
That said, I pray Willingham doesn't last long on JSA adn doesn't do much to damage the title while he's there. Geoff Johns did a miracle reviving the JSA brand as a viable book, let alone establishing the JSA as the premire super-hero group of the DCU and an asshat like Willingham could make JSA such a joke that DC will try killing off the group again like they did in 1994.
