To be fair, Quesada's not the only one to do that era-wise; IIRC, Steve Gerber even tried to pull this: retconning Steve as being an uber-pacifist leftie who hated war in all forms, who only joined the military when Pearl Harbor happened and Steve's never before mentioned older brother died in the attack.
It was such a poorly received retcon that Stern and Byrne ended up making overturning it one of their top priorities when they took over the book in the early 80s.

4) Same movie (Fantastic Four), but with any actors in history.
Mr. Fantastic: late 1930s Jimmy Stewart Invisible Woman: late 1960s era Jane Fonda Thing: late 1930s era Carey Grant Human Torch: late 1980s era Christian Slater
Doctor Doom: 1960s era Peter Cushing Namor: 1950s era Montgomery Cliff
5)Pick 5 villains for a new SUICIDE SQUAD title. They can't have been in the Squad before.
*Lex Luthor (as part of his latest presidential pardon, Lex has to serve as a Suicide Squad field leader whenever the government needs him to)
*The current Silver Swan (the George Perez-created kid sidekick to WW version)
*Jason Todd
*Zoom
*Rage Kitty of the Red Lantern Corps
All are Big Gun villains, all stuck together against their will, and all have motivations that range from legitimate anger at their respective enemies (Jason Todd, Silver Swan, Zoom) to over-the-top but still semi-legit sympathetic motives (Lex is motivated by envy towards Superman, Rage Kitty is fueled by over-the-top rage at past slights committed towards cat-king by man). And all are big name villains, so this gives a new dimension as far as how far will these five individuals go to survive the missions they are sent on?

Valeyard in theory is a great idea; but I think the main problem is execution. Rather than stealing past life regenerations, he should be uber-evil chess master trying to ensure the events that will cause the Doctor to regenerate into him. Sort of like Magus/Adam Warlock....

Spoiler For Seige and It's Tie-Ins ------------ Loki amps the heroes up to fight Void, gets slaughtered by Void (but the Loki one-shot for Seige sets up Loki's inevitable resurrection, via a deal he cuts with Hela and Mephisto to basically come back to life with their help). Tony then drops Norman's Helicarrier onto Void, after Thor zaps him with mega-lightning. This causes him to turn into his civilian form, who immeadiately demands Thor kill him on the spot. Thor refuses at first, vowing to make sure Sentry rots in jail for the rest of his life for his crimes. So when he turns into Void again, Thor does the deed and then TOSSES SENTRY'S CORPSE INTO THE SUN!!!!!! Also, Norman tries to flee and gets smacked down by Volstagg of all people Only Dakkon escapes Dark Avengerswise. Scorp-Venom surrenders willingly while Bullseye and Moonstone try and flee when everything is said and done but Luke Cage and Ms Marvel beat their asses. Cap, for reasons too vague to mention, gives Miss Hand a "Get Out Of Jail Free Card" and lets her go after she claims that she was following orders as her defense. Hood gets Madam Masque to get her daddy Count Neferia to give him sanctuary/replicate the process that gave Neferia his super-powers in exchange for all of his money. The Avengers stop this from happening and we get a scene where Miss Marvel uses her Binary powers to make short work of Neferia as far as absorbing all of his energy attacks and holding him at bay while all three are captured. Afterwords, Tigra gloats about being able to kill Hood if she wanted too, but how he wasn't worth it. She then introduces Hood's GF and their child, as she gloats to him that he'll NEVER see his child again. Tigra also gives birth off-panel and she's hired one of the cat people to be her nanny. Taskmaster and Constrictor escapes and Taskmaster gets in one last stab at Norman (who left him partially buried in rubble) by way of revealing how he worked with Deadpool to fuck with Norman during the Deadpool/Thunderbolts X-Over. He convinces Constrictor to bail with him, as Constrictor sees Cap and Diamondback reuniting. Cap is happy to see her but Rachel confesses to loving Constrictor, who with Taskmaster's help flees right in front of the two. Afterwords, Cap offers her a chance to work for him in SHIELD coordinating the remaining Initiative teams still in play but Rachel tells him that she's not ready yet to take the job since she's still angsting away over Constrictor, who still has a set of Rachel's diamond weapons that he is carrying around as a keepsake. Left vague in all of this is the fate of USAgent (maimed by Nuke, who along with the rest of the Thunderbolts not named Ant Man and Palidan, are arrested in the wake). More confirmed however is the fall-out: the Registration Act is thrown out as condition of Cap taking over running SHIELD. However, Cap is keeping the Initiative going as a volunteer group. An Asgardian building linking Stark Tower to Asgard is set up replacing Sentry's home. Norman is facing HUGE jail time, based off of evidence that the Nazi scientist guy from The Initiative collected regarding Norman's crimes, which along with restoring Komodo's legs/powers, is used to get Cloud 9, himself, and Hardball full immunity...

1. Shark jump
2. If the BBC would have thought that they could keep Tennant, I'm sure they would have reformatted the show so as to allow Tennant to keep doing Doctor Who while also pursuing new projects. Which would cutting down the season to just 5-6 episodes or reverting the show back to a full-blown serial format with 12-13 30 minute episodes.
As it stands, the BBC probably has decided that it's in their best interest to just move forward with a new Doctor and not push for any 10th and 11th Doctor team-up unless the current creative team behind the show brings it up. And I think Tennant himself probably doesn't want to force a full-time return due to the fact that it would set a bad precident for the franchise (remember, the US production end of the Doctor Who TV movie actually demanded that the BBC bring back Tom Baker for the TV movie and had to be smacked down by the BBC as far as "Doctor Who the series doesn't work that way" reasoning).
Plus, I don't think Tennant would want to be seen as someone so utterly wedded to the show and the role that he would set into motion events that would get the current actor fired from the show. That would hurt his standing within fandom and if the Leno/Conan debacle is any indication, Tennant may find himself loathed by fans if he does so....
That being said; if Tennant DOES want to keep doing the character, he should push whoever has the license to do audio books/plays to sign him to a deal to do a series of audio books. A series of audio plays based upon the unseen adventures of the Tenth Doctor would make whoever puts them out some money and let Tennant continue to play the role he so loves.

Regarding Amy and the big bad possibilities, here is some:
The Master: She's the Master's grand-daughter. Sort of the Master's version of Susan. The big bad is the zombie version of the Master, who comes for his grand-daughter on her wedding day to steal her life to restore himself. The universe cracks in two because the Doctor spills out EVERYTHING that is in store for the Master as far as his fate goes, which the Master will use to change the future unless the Doctor finds a way to mindwipe him before the battle ends.
Daleks: Amy is a forgotten human/Dalek hybrid that ended up being found by humans and raised by them with no idea of her true nature. The Daleks arrive at her wedding day to kill her because, they consider her to be an abomination and the universe cracks because of reborn Daleks try and replicate the doomsday sanction that the Doctor used to end the Time War on Earth to punish him, via destroying Earth.
Cybermen: Amy is an OG Cyberman, who have evolved yet again, this time rebuilding themselves as human looking "Cyborgs" that like the skinjobs from Battlestar Galactica, can pass as human and have fake memories that let them fool the Doctor. They crack the universe to call out the Nu-Who Cybermen for a big brawl for the right to the Cybermen name.

What if River Song is the Master? What if "her" Doctor was the Valeyard? I'd rather Rivers be Romana V3.0 if they go the route of River being a stealth time lord. Which would be a nice pay-off to the whole "Doctor's Wife" thing, given how the Fourth Doctor/Romana V2.0 romance subtext.

Random thought of sorts: am I the only one who wishes this season of Doctor Who would be straight-forward stories with no arc?
I mean, in a lot of ways, I'd think the show would be better served with Amy Pond, girl obsessed with the Doctor ever since she met the freshly regenerated 11th Doctor as a kid just having adventures and stuff. Maybe toss in River Song as the reaccurring companion to carry the weight of the romance angle while Amy gets to be action girl.
Maybe even hold off the whole "Weeping Angel" two-parter for the season finale since that would be a good way to establish the Weeping Angel as A-List Big Bads by having them, not the Daleks, be the villains of the last episodes of the series.
No arc, just 11 and Amy (and River, who keeps popping in and out like a wacky next door neighbor) having adventures and no expectation of season arcs or arc words. Wait until season six to have a season wide arc (perhaps doing the cracks in time/space thing with the combination angle of the Doctor being stranged on Earth, in the present trying to seal them all up).

The first three questions!
1) Name one Big Two comic from the past year that you don't have a singlr problem with. Doesn't have to be the whole run, just an issue.
Secret Six #15, the Deadshot spotlight issue
2) You've been hired to do the soundtrack for the Green Lantern movie. Problem is, they can't get rights to any song made after 1990. What songs do you pick?
The Cure: One Hundred Years Metallica: Creeping Death Madonna: Burning Up Kate Bush: Running Up The Hill REM: Orange Crush Cindy Lauper: One Track Mind Iron Maiden: The Evil That Men Do Depeche Mode: Never Let Me Down Again The Smith: There Is A Light That Never Goes Out Eurythmics: Missionary Man U2: Bullet The Blue Sky Def Leppard: Hysteria Belinda Carlisle: Leave a Light On Echo and the Bunnymen: The Killing Moon Heart: Alone Siouxsie and the Banshees: Cities In Dust
3) Cast a new Fantastic Four movie, using current actors. Doom & Namor are your villains.
Reed Richards: Linus Roache (Law and Order) Human Torch: Ryan Hanson (Veronica Mars, Party Down) Invisible Woman: Chloe Sevigny (Big Love) Thing: Will Forte (SNL)
Namor: Adrian Pasdar (Profit, Heroes) Doctor Doom: Colin Firth (Pride and Prejudice)

I'm just shocked that DC hasn't sued to stop the release of the video, especially given that Rich Johnston's been covering it extensively on Bleeding Cool (which DC executives do read).

But given the way that they showed the Time Lords treating the Master like shit, the whole "We can give you more regenerations" deal could be tossed out as blatant lies that they told the Master to get him to do their bidding and that if they had to actually honor the deal, they would sooner just ordered the guy's death.
That said; I could handwave some form of mental block that was used on the previous incarnations to keep them from remembering River until the Doctor "first" met Rivers in his 10th Incarnation.
As for the rules on regenerations; if they do revoke it, it needs to be done in grand fashion, possibly via Romana showing back up and revealing that she found a way save the Doctor from running out of lives via her coming up with a plot device that extends his regenerations endlessly....

I like them as actors, more than I do Adrian Brody.
Also:
1. Goggins is a method actor and I figure, if you asked Trejo about working with Goggins, he might have an interesting comment about doing an action film with someone who approaches acting that way.
2. Topher Grace's character is supposedly one of the main characters in the film (don't want to give away the plot twist in case you haven't heard the spoiler floating around), hence would be an interesting thing to ask about Trejo's work with him on the project.

Ask him about how it was like to act alongside Walt Goggins and Topher Grace.
Also, ask him about kids recognizing him from Spy Kids and how that differs from adults who recognize him from his usual R-Rated movies.....

Sarah Palin not running in 2012 only means that she's most likely running in 2016.
2012 is going to be a bad year for Republicans and I would not be shocked if some of the long-term power brokers in the GOP are already, in private at least, conceding defeat to Obama and preparing for 2016. And given the HUGE amount of work needed to get Sarah Palin presentable for a Presidential run, I would not be shocked if the long game set up is to spend six years to up Sarah's war chest and get Sarah rehabilitated so that she doesn't come off like an ignorant fool....
