That voter turnout is actually quite respectable. Not up to our levels, but nothing to frown at.

Who the hell cares what Brad Curran thinks? For that matter, who the fuck is Brad Curran? Does he pay your rents? Does he feed you out of his budget? Does he have, in any way, shape or form, any effect on your lives beyond he mentioned you in some post he made on CBR? Jesse. You are occasionally waaay overboard. But you know this, because we tell you and it's decreased some lately from what I've seen. But you're passionate about what you like. (Even if it is the Giffen Justice League.) Who the fuck is Brad Curran to give you crap about that? Kirk, you have trespassed the line between good and evil many, many many times. We know all about the Bassett Hounds in your basement, and what sick, disgusting, things you do with them. We know about the clown and whipped cream fetish. We even have somewhat shady details of the incident involving the Linguini and the Furry Party. Hell, we've all contributed to the Save Our Yogi fund in your name. Secretly and behind your back. We're watching you bucko. That said, fuck Brad Curran. Can I change my posts to this instead?

I'm not saying you should change, but you should be aware of the effect your writing style has on people. I generally don't mind because I know you (well, you know, kind of) and you are usually entertaining and you think before you type, but sometimes it gets a bit much. Eh, anyway. No big deal.

I'm not saying I think you're serious; I'm saying your tone is a problem whether one takes it seriously or not.
Hell, Kirk, I like you, and I think you're right more often than not, but sometimes the way you write annoys the fuck out of me.

I think what people react negatively to is your tone more than the content. Calling your readers whores in caps isn't really a good way to make them take you seriously.

Yeah, but has your style changed noticably since then? Better to say that my style on those fora was, by necessity, the short-form version of who I am. So, no?

I gave up on Fringe after the third episode. Great mad mad scientist, awful bad bad science.
I dumped True Blood after two episodes, but with Alexander SkarsgÄrd apparently coming on as a Viking vampire I may have to give it a second chance.
Sons of Anarchy is very good. Solid drama, great acting, good action bits, and a bit of non-forced comedy every now and then.
I'm a bit disappointed with The Big Bang Theory. Instead of letting the relationship between Penny and Leonard move forward they went back to the previous status quo. I thought Friends had shown that you could have a sitcom with evolving relationships, but I guess not.
Californication, on the other hand, does have evolving relationships. I think it's working out very well. Despite introducing a porn actress as one of the supporting cast there is less nudity than in the first season, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. No, no, hear me out. In the first season it broke suspension of disbelief to be constantly reminded that some of the actresses (because let's face it, it was mostly women being naked) would go only so far in the nudity department, so having various contrived reasons for not showing the naughty bits they didn't want to show when some would show a lot more just made it more fake than if nobody had shown anything. Does that make sense? Anyway, still a great show, even if they're making Charlie Runkle a bit too much of a loser, I think.
CSI is going through some cast changes, but as long as Grissom is still there I will continue to watch.
I've only watched the first couple of episodes of Desperate Housewives. It remains a backup show for me.
Family Guy and South Park are pretty much as they have always been. Robot Chicken is in't on for the time being.
Terminator is still okay, but not great. The T1000 company president woman is getting on my nerves, and I always feel like I need to not think about the time travelling implications. Plus it seems that they can send back as many people and terminators as they like these days - which, I suppose, could be explained by said time travel stuff, but since I can't think about it...

I'm up to maybe ten (unless we're counting audio books which would get me to thirteen or so), with
~9) The Lucifer Effect by Philip Zimbardo
~10) The Da-Da-De-Da-Da Code by Robert Rankin (one of few books with an especially recorded soundtrack)

The accents were horrible, and the writing was bad, even for porn. That Nathan Fillion porn parody the other day was sheer brilliance in comparison. You'd think that considering how high-profile this has become they would actually hire someone to write a script. You know, for money.
On the other hand she has huge boobs, so I guess it sort of evens out.

Since the real Palin has appeard on SNL after Tina Fey's impersonations, maybe the same thing will happen here?
