That is probably the case, and if so, a sad one. It's a poor model to emulate, for my money.

Well, looks like this series is dead. Oh well. Pity, I liked it better than what I saw of "No Ordinary Family" (granted, that was very little, but just the same, I kind of prefer my superheroes in the traditional style than "Heroes"-style)

Pity. I dropped NOF after two episodes, because while it did offer a moderately novel view of the subject, it did so boringly. But with The Cape I at least made an effort to get the epsiodes. Even if I'm woefully behind on watching, but I'm actually even farther behind on other shows.
I think the only show that I'm actually caught up on is Castle.

How has Castle worked in the long run? I watched a couple of episodes and while I always enjoy Nathan Fillion it seemed like they were just going to milk the UST without allowing any actual development of the characters and that gets annoying quickly for me.

They are milking the UST, but they are (slowly) progressing. Season 2 ended with Beckett breaking up with her boyfriend of that season because she wanted to give her relationship with Castle a chance, while Castle went off to the Hamptons with his ex-wife. This season, everyone they run into who doesn't know them assumes they are a couple. Beckett has a new BF, and Castle is jealous/sad. Meanwhile, everyone around them develops happy relationships. In a way, I hope they never bring them together, because when they do, I will have to stop watching the show. UST shows always jump the shark when the UST becomes RST. Moonlighting, Who's the Boss... It never fails. Besides, Castle isn't man enough for Beckett.

Yeah, it's building the show on UST in the first place that annoys me.

And...crap. Apparently the finale will only be on the NBC TV website. Well, that's annoying.

And...watched the series finale. I'm going to wait for you guys to have watched it so we can do a proper autopsy on this. I have a few thoughts.
Cheers,
Michael

You know you have a problem if you're a superhero show, and you can't even get me to watch you regularly.
That's saying something.

There's a difference between "a superhero show", and "a show about people with superpowers". ;D

There's a difference between "a superhero show", and "a show about people with superpowers". ;D I am aware that we're talking about The Cape, and not No Ordinary Family. Which I'm also not watching.
