Yeah, that was the best one this season thus far. Love the idea that Elliot has a lot of competitors out there.

Yeah, that was the best one this season thus far. Love the idea that Elliot has a lot of competitors out there. That was already heavily implied in previous seasons (remember in S3, one of them worked for Moreau). But having him run into so many this time was hilarious. My Season 2 box arrived on Wednesday, so I watched the extras on Wednesday, the first two episodes yesterday, and I plan to do a Leverage Season 2 marathon today, if Akiko should go out (as I expect she will).

Season two has some great stuff. Enjoy that. And yes, I know there were a lot of competitors out there with Elliot, but he's only run into them very sparringly. I'd like to see a bit more of it, if for no other reason than to set up a viable Anti-Elliot at some point. Oh, the highlight of the DVDs for me? watching the Commentaries, because John Rogers makes a point of telling you how much he's has been drinking while he's doing this.

I'd like to see a bit more of it, if for no other reason than to set up a viable Anti-Elliot at some point. I think we both expect to see something like that this season. If I had to guess, there was this guy in the season 1 finale, the fight with Eliot at the airport. He wiped the floor with Eliot at first, then he got cocky and Eliot got his second wind.

"The Hot Potato Job"
-Based on the Ending, either there's a new member of the team of evil, a follow-up episode in the works, or our behind the scenes evil manipulator is starting to become a more active menace. -Elliot has to know. I mean, there's no way he doesn't. -I'm not convinced the guy on the phone from the end of "15 minutes" is the man behind the scenes, though he may be bankrolling the manipulator/team of Evil.
Fun stuff: -That kid is going to be running his school very shortly -Nate having to share control of a con with Sophie - is not going to end well. -Eliot's shirt. Eliot's reaction to realizing Sophie was doing an impression of him.

"The Carnival Job"
My complaints about something lacking this season? FUCKING ADDRESSED. OK, as homages go - no, don't care if it's a cliche - still awesome.
MOTHERFUCKING GUNSLINGER WALK. Jens, you need to find me some good resolution large screencaps of that walk so I can posterize this NOW.

The reveal about the man who bugged the Leverage HQ was... unexpected.
Episode 8 had one major plothole, though: if Sherman was as well connected as he claimed, he should have recognized the entire crew, considering how they're all the top people in their respective fields. At least he should've recognized Nate from Nate's past as an insurance investigator.
Other than that quibble, a fun episode, as usual.

Judging from his big speech to Nate at the end, I figured he knew since the start and was simply playing along until he could con something out of them. But that may just be my interpretation.
And yes, it is an interesting development, because it calls into question Nate's commitment vs. his ego, and what, if any compromises, he'll make for his crusade.

Hardinson can hack anything.
Except for Rory Williams.

What happens if Rory Williams fights Elliot Spencer?
A: Big Bang 3.
Oh, this is fun! We should totally write a list and send it to John Rogers!
