Some points to note:
1] Don't be fooled by the name "Mike's Comics".
1a] We carry more than comics.
1b] The comics we have in stock range from 1939 to the present day. However, if you're looking for individual issues published by Marvel or DC after January 1994, chances are we will not have them in stock, as we discontinued our relationship with Diamond and closed our brick-and-mortar storefront at that time.
We have quite a spread of non-Marvel and DC titles - we like to think of ourselves as the independent publisher's best friends.
2] Don't be turned off by our seeming obsession with DOCTOR WHO.
While we do concentrate heavily on WHO-related products, it's not all we do. We have quite a stock of other science fiction and pop culture items. I'm also a children's book expert, a folk music and world music aficionado, and a helluva MONOPOLY maven. I have fingers in many retail pies and can get you mainstream movies and books.
In other words, especially with Giftmas coming, think of me and pick my brain if you're looking for pop culture gifts for yourself or others. Give me your money, rather than Best Buy... I'm cuter, and hungrier, than they are, no matter what the producers of CHUCK would have you believe.

After a decade and a half of trying to find ways around Diamond's strangehold on too many markets, I am pleased to announce that Mike's Comics now carries DOCTOR WHO MAGAZINE again, as of issue #401.  Michael and I are currently discussing the mechanics of offering subscriptions, but for now single issues are available from us. We also will be carrying the "specials" associated with DWM, including the Yearbook. In addition, we now carry STARBURST, which appeals to a wide range of fandom interests. Patty, I'm looking for a few out-of-print SF/SF-related books:
1) Star Wars: The National Public Radio Dramatization script book by Brian Daley.
2) Isaac Asimov's first two volumes of autobiography, In Memory Yet Green and In Joy Still Felt.
3) Robert A. Heinlein's Tramp Royale.

By the way, madame, what's the latest guestimate on my Sarah Jane action figure?  And I think I reserved S4 of NuWho with you as well, but I wasn't expecting that until later. Everyone else, consider me a satisfied customer of Patty's. |

Thanks for the links, my dear. Will start research. You do realize, however, that postage alone may well be US$40.00 or more? That's the one factor in the transaction I can't control, as you remember from the earlier STAR WARS book transaction. |

Sarah Jane now pushed back to January 2009. You may now commence with the Waaaaaaaaaaaah. I have saltier language that I've already used for the suppliers, since I have 48 backorders to fill. |
