Light of Thy Countenance - It's an adaption of a Moore piece from Avatar. Nice lil' book for $8. It really did feel like one of his spoken word pieces and I kept hearing Moore's voice in my head the whole time.
Golgo 13 - I picked up a five pack of old releases of Golgo 13 stories. It's broken down into two sets. A three parter which I believe was called "Argentine Tiger" and two one shots, "The Impossible Hit" and "Border The Hopper". I've only read the two one shots so far but I enjoyed them both.

Golgo 13 has been released and rereleased so many times and in so many formats, even I can't keep track. Who published the book you got?

The three part "Argentine Tiger" series is from Leeds/Viz, the two parter is from Lead Publishing. "Argentine Tiger" and "Hopper The Border" were both colored too. The first part of "Argentine Tiger" even has a two page afterwards by the translator/adaptor James Hudnall.

Avengers this week, because God help me, "Dark Reign" really does strike me as kind of interesting:
New Avengers #51: Some fun dialogue. Pity we never actually saw Jennifer Kale, whom I've always liked.
And perhaps most relevant to this forum, the Brand New Day Spidey status quo is now officially toast, and not only did it not happen in a Spider-Book, it happened in a book that damn near exists in an alternate universe to the Spider-books.
Mighty Avengers #3: This series has its fans and its detractors, but I really do love it. It's Slott the way Slott should be writing -- old-school, relatively guile-free superheroics. And I really like the idea of someone trying to write Hank Pym with all the baggage but without ALL THE FRAKKING BAGGAGE, if that makes any sense.
Plus, I really, really like being surprised by plot twists, and the last page floored me. The fact that it makes perfect sense in overall Avengers context just makes it that much more awesome.

I swapped in several Bernard Prince comic albums, which arrived yesterday, and which I started reading yesterday. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bernard_PrinceNice stuff, Francobelgian action/adventure series about a globetrotting adventurer. In case the picture confuses you, Bernard Prince is the original title. In Germany, the character was renamed Andy Morgan. Probably because it sounds more like an adventuring type, and it might be easier to pronounce for Germans.

The latest issue of Buffy which, sadly, felt like the definition of middling.
Crossed #4 - HA! I'm digging the hell out of this series, first time in ages that I can say that about anything Ennis has written.
Also, I'm thinking of snagging a copy of the Anna Mercury TPB next week. Good idea? Bad idea?
