So Final Crisis Resist has Snapper Carr, formerly annoying JLA sidekick turned teleporting space resistance fighter turned Black Ops Spy for Checkmate, having sex with Cheetah, who he then saves from Gorilla Grodd with a Justifier helmet on.
Thoughts, comments, loose change?

The problem though with the right's obsession with banning gay marriage is that it's so utterly hypocritical that you can't even stomach the bs excuses they use to justify it.
There is NOTHING fucking sacred about marriage, in an age where no-fault divorces are rampant and gold-digging is considered both an honorable and accepted means to making a living. To say otherwise is to spew literal shit and shit liquid out one's mouth, as far as harping on the "sanctity" of marriage.
In a culture where Bob can dump Carol, his wife for 20+ years for a 17 year old barely legal twat "just because" under "reason for divorce" or where Kevin Federline can marry Brittany Spears and walk away a year or two later with more money than Jard or myself will ever see in their life lifetime times 20, there is no fucking way the church should be allowed to tell Ben and Mike that they can't marry/have to settle for a "civil union" over an actual wedding. To say otherwise is to say breeders can make a mockery out of the concept of marriage until the cows come home but gays who want to be marry and honor their vows/the concept of marriage can't.

If what I've heard about the DSi is true, I doubt that there will be a price drop on the DS Lites. The DSi seems to be a niche product at best and I don't see it overtaking the regular DS/DS lite or Nintendo slashing the prices for the DS Lites, seeing as most people would rather buy it instead of the DSi, which IIRC is supposed to cost around $200.

I dug out one of my two OG Gameboys a couple of months ago out of the closet (my original GB has massive pixel damage to the screen) and played it for a couple of minutes before turning it off due to the graphics causing my eyes bleed.
Having played the Gameboy Color/GBA/DS exclusively for the last decade, going back to the OG GB was insane as far as the poor picture color. It's like all of those Game Gear commercials were right all along, in retrospect about the shit nature of the colorscale of the GB screen.
(Of course, the story goes that Nintendo purposely held back going full-color with the Gameboy until around 1998 SPECIFICALLY because of the big flaw that the Game Gear had, IE the full color graphics drained all of the battery life from the system. It wasn't until Nintendo found a way to solve the battery draining problem that they put out the Game Boy Color.)
Speaking of broken battery latches, I have the same problem with my GBA.
I also have my old Game Gear lying around with two games for it (Lion King and Bart Vs Space Mutants) but haven't really tried playing it since again, major battery guzzler and the fact that the only game I owned for the GG that I would want to play (the GG Power Ranger game, which IMHO is the only decent OG Power Ranger game put out) is missing and probably gone for good unfortunately.

A Game Boy DS (plays DS and Game Boy Advance Games) and maybe an old-school (IE Battery operated) Game Boy Advance for playing old school Game Boy games (which can't be played on the DS) along with Game Boy Advance games.
PS2 is a good choice as well, since it's also backwards compatible with PS1 games.
A PSP is so-so, some decent games plus you can jury-rig it to play certain emulater games.
Personally, I'm just about ready to ready to splurge and get an X-Box 360; problem is that the cheapo model ($200 version) doesn't have backwards compatibility, meaning you can't play old X-Box games (which for me means, no X-Box GTA 3 Trilogy) and $400 for the top grade version is a little steep even for me. A $300 version supposedly exists but I haven't been able to find one yet in stores.

McCain/Palin (or at the very least Palin) get a last minute endorsement from Georgie, one of the kids from from the Funimation dub of "Shin-Chan".

That reminds me of what would be a killer combo of sorts as far as recasting the Master and the Doctor: Alan Rickman and David Warner

Perot only got the press to treat him as an equal because 1. He was ultra-rich, and more importantly 2. was utterly Batshit Insane, in a way that stole the show from Clinton and Bush I.
Which is in turn, why the Democrats and Republicans later made damn sure that would never happen again in 1996 and onward. Of course, that didn't stop Ralph Nadar in 2000 but even then, it's kind of ironic that Nadar was able to help wreck the Democrats the way he did in spite of the media largely ignoring him.
It makes you wonder when the next major third party candidate will come along to stir things up in spite of the game being rigged against them and whether or not 2008, in the event McCain loses, will lead to the schisming of the Republican Party in some TANGIBLE and CONCRETE fashion, as far as the moderates or right-wing nuts of the party leaving the party once and for all.

To be fair, the notion that Flash got his nickname because he cums too early in sex is something of an old school fanboy fanwank.
That said, what the fuck is up with Flash losing his legs? I mean, seriously, what the fuck?
I mean, if they want to send Flash into the cornfield ala Black Cat in terms of keeping him off the board to keep the character from being damaged by BND via having him re-enlist is one thing. But having him lose his legs?
Hell, if they were going to cripple Flash, why not do it during "Brand New Ways to Die" via Norman or Venom doing the deed to cripple Flash via leg amputation? The idea of Flash giving up his legs as part of a desperate bid to kill Norman would have made more sense thematically (plus give BNWTD some semblence of "this is a major storyline" outside of officially returning Eddie Brock to his 1993 "Lethal Protector" status quo as Anti-Venom), given that the last time Norman and Flash met, Norman put Flash in a god-damn coma in an attempt to kill Flash as a message to Peter.

I think they've downplayed Black Cat because they know using her as a homewrecker would turn fans against the character, who Marvel wants to present as a goody-two shoes femme fatale character suitable for sidekicking with Spidey.
And given what's happened to Emma Frost (turned into a giant, unlikable bitch Mary Sue of epic proportions since officially hooking up with Scott with Jeans' death), I'm kind of glad Black Cat's in some hole waiting for this OMD/BND crap to end so she can show her face.

Aria Giovanni and Nathan Fillion star in "Nailing Your Wife:" I guess Joss Whedon finally ran out of things for him to do. Now-now, inevitably Fillon will probably end up on "Dollhouse" if that show doesn't get cancelled within four episodes....

The worst thing is that they COULD HAVE PRE-EMPTIVELY nipped it in the bud but refused to do them mainly to spite the readers:
MJ and Peter should have been dating in the new status quo or at the very least, the first arc should have focused on Peter successfully winning MJ back from whatever one-dimensional scumbag character Slott could come up with to pair MJ with for the purpose of giving fans a jump for join when MJ dumped his ass and reunited with Peter, in order to make her reuniting with Peter work as an arc, hence giving fans the half-assed hook of Peter and MJ still being a couple but not married to keep them around.
Use the god-damn Secret Invasion to explain Harry being back. Force Bendis to rewrite the plot to include Harry as the only real human on the prison ship/use an issue of New/Mighty Avengers to tell how the Skrulls replaced him before "The Child Within" arc in Spectacular Spidey #177-183 and that the modified Goblin Formula kept Skrull Harry from turning back into Skrull form when he died.
Done an issue/back-up focusing on how post-OMD retcon, Peter never unmasked at all and show what happened (post-retcon) as a result of him not unmasking having on his and his family's life.
Oh and kept Aunt May knowing for fuck's sake! Or at the very least, give her amnesia/memory loss/alszheimers of some kind so that she doesn't remember!
But instead of these things that might have worked as proverbial bones to readers, they went about shit that purposely pissed off readers (no MJ/Peter whoring around, no answer to the Harry Osbron return until fan complaints about their insistance in not explaining it got too loud for them to ignore them) just because they could.

And speaking of "October Suprises", I'm wondering why the media types are shying away from proclaiming the economic crash and burn/bail-out scheme to be this election's "October Suprise"?
Given the massive media hype/coverage of the bail-out and the craziness surrounding the economy and the mortage crisis threatening banks and such, you'd think they would be annointing it the "October Suprise" since it exposed McCain's utter weakness regarding the economy, effectively giving Obama's strength more value over his perceived weakness/McCain's perceived strength (IE defense).
