So I finally got my hands on some of the Fantagraphics Books Peanuts collections. I waited for them to get a decent backlog of them published, since I'm not really interested in the early years but the Golden Age of the franchise (1960-1980).
My favorite of the three volumes I bought was Volume 11, which collects 1971-1972. A lot of good stuff in this volume that I've never read before, including the arc that introduces Marcie, and some classic Peppermint Patty/Charlie Brown stuff, including one of my all-time favorite strips of the series, the one where Charlie Brown compares security to being a kid sleeping in the backseat of your parents' car.
(Edited to correct the spelling of the publisher's name.)
