1) Tough one, because my favorite creator is off the radar for a very good reason. So I'll go with plan B. Christopher Priest. At the risk of being dense, who is it? Mightygodking is good, I'll grant you. And yeah, I suppose that is the obvious list of 5 failed characters, but still good picks. Good answers, now it's your turn to ask the questions.... Michael

At the risk of being dense, who is it? Walt, of course. That may have to wait until the weekend.

Is something wrong with him? I hadn't heard anything.

Is something wrong with him? I hadn't heard anything. No, but he's working on a very big project, so he hasn't been all that active of late.

OK Jesse... welcome to the Hot Seat.
1) Name one Big Two comic from the past year that you don't have a singlr problem with. Doesn't have to be the whole run, just an issue.
2) You've been hired to do the soundtrack for the Green Lantern movie. Problem is, they can't get rights to any song made after 1990. What songs do you pick?
3) Cast a new Fantastic Four movie, using current actors. Doom & Namor are your villains.
4) Same movie, but with any actors in history.
5)Pick 5 villains for a new SUICIDE SQUAD title. They can't have been in the Squad before.

The first three questions!
1) Name one Big Two comic from the past year that you don't have a singlr problem with. Doesn't have to be the whole run, just an issue.
Secret Six #15, the Deadshot spotlight issue
2) You've been hired to do the soundtrack for the Green Lantern movie. Problem is, they can't get rights to any song made after 1990. What songs do you pick?
The Cure: One Hundred Years Metallica: Creeping Death Madonna: Burning Up Kate Bush: Running Up The Hill REM: Orange Crush Cindy Lauper: One Track Mind Iron Maiden: The Evil That Men Do Depeche Mode: Never Let Me Down Again The Smith: There Is A Light That Never Goes Out Eurythmics: Missionary Man U2: Bullet The Blue Sky Def Leppard: Hysteria Belinda Carlisle: Leave a Light On Echo and the Bunnymen: The Killing Moon Heart: Alone Siouxsie and the Banshees: Cities In Dust
3) Cast a new Fantastic Four movie, using current actors. Doom & Namor are your villains.
Reed Richards: Linus Roache (Law and Order) Human Torch: Ryan Hanson (Veronica Mars, Party Down) Invisible Woman: Chloe Sevigny (Big Love) Thing: Will Forte (SNL)
Namor: Adrian Pasdar (Profit, Heroes) Doctor Doom: Colin Firth (Pride and Prejudice)

Linus Roache and Adrian Pasdar are brilliant casting choices I never would have thought of.

Jesse, you need to answer the final two questions than ask someone else 5.

4) Same movie (Fantastic Four), but with any actors in history.
Mr. Fantastic: late 1930s Jimmy Stewart Invisible Woman: late 1960s era Jane Fonda Thing: late 1930s era Carey Grant Human Torch: late 1980s era Christian Slater
Doctor Doom: 1960s era Peter Cushing Namor: 1950s era Montgomery Cliff
5)Pick 5 villains for a new SUICIDE SQUAD title. They can't have been in the Squad before.
*Lex Luthor (as part of his latest presidential pardon, Lex has to serve as a Suicide Squad field leader whenever the government needs him to)
*The current Silver Swan (the George Perez-created kid sidekick to WW version)
*Jason Todd
*Zoom
*Rage Kitty of the Red Lantern Corps
All are Big Gun villains, all stuck together against their will, and all have motivations that range from legitimate anger at their respective enemies (Jason Todd, Silver Swan, Zoom) to over-the-top but still semi-legit sympathetic motives (Lex is motivated by envy towards Superman, Rage Kitty is fueled by over-the-top rage at past slights committed towards cat-king by man). And all are big name villains, so this gives a new dimension as far as how far will these five individuals go to survive the missions they are sent on?

Question time for Paul:
1. Excluding Darkseid, Zod, Brainiac and Lex Luthor, what big time DCU villain would you use to serve as the final "Big Bad" for the last season of Smallville, so as to have the series end with Clark gathering ALL of the heroes of the Smallville universe to band together to save the Earth?
2. Explain your opinion on the legacy and impact upon future shows/stories of "Lost", versus other shows of the '00s (The Wire, The Shield, Battlestar Galactica, Heroes) as far as the impact that it will have on the sci-fi/mystery genre for future generations of writers/tv show producers?
3. Excluding Heroes and Battlestar Galactica, name one mega-popular, long-running drama TV show of the '00s that will be looked back upon by future generations as shit and mocked, as far as wondering how said show could have been popular to begin with?
4. How would you do "Powers", Bendis' comic as a tv show and who would you pick castwise and showrunner-wise.
5. Which version of the Phantom of the Opera is better? Deformed death trap maker or screwed over composer who had acid tossed onto his face?
